Playing after school

My son does lots of activities after school and on a weekend, three days a week and one day of the weekend.

He absolutely loves these and they are good for him, and I don't mind taking, dropping off etc.

He's 7 and has ADHD which he takes medication for.

The problem is, the days we are at home, he is CONSTANTLY asking me / dad / sibling to play with him.

Even if you say no, you're busy, I'm making dinner, don't feel like it after a busy day, he will either go on and on and on so one of us gives in, tells us it means we 'hate' him if we wont, or will cry, moan and just generally be a pain and then I feel sorry for him and guilty because he's just a child who wants to play.

We play with him SO much but it's getting to the point I just cant relax in my own home because we always have to be doing something!

I have tried the play by yourself, got him different toys out, even encouraged video games! Nothings worked!

any tips?
