Nuby Rapid Cool

I have a Nuby Rapid Cool and need to use it this weekend for whilst visiting family, we will be out all day one of the days and I don’t know how to prepare more than 1 bottle of formula for my baby (other than the adding boiling water and waiting for it to cool down method).

has anyone used the Nuby a bit like a Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep and done a ‘hot shot’ with boiling water, then adding the cooler water from the Nuby?

otherwise are there any other suggestions as I don’t want to buy a whole weekends worth of pre made formula as it is expensive!

*don’t know how to prepare more than 1 bottle because it says to sterilise after each use!

Get a large thermos and put freshly boiled Water in. Some will hold the water above 70 c for 4 hrs or more. Tommy tippy do one.

We take a flask of boiling water and then a few bottles with say 3oz of cool boiled water, then an empty bottle. We put 2 oz of boiling water then the formula and mix and then pour the 3oz of cool in, then we have an empty bottle for the next feed. Hopefully that makes sense Grin

For a day...

pre-portion the formula in tubs.
Bring boiling water in thermos.
Make formula in rapid cool.
Give it a quick rinse and shake off excess water. Pop in ziplock bag or whatever (keep lid and flask separate. Ie dont screw the lid back on flask)

Reuse As needed.

You really do not need to sterlise every single time unless your baby is like 4 weeks old. We throughtly cleaned the seal and the lid daily but the insides just got a rinse and a through scrub with fairy.

I take formula in a MAM dispenser (carries 3 portions), small thermos - I use a smaller yeti flask, the water stays boiling for 12 hours (“hot shot”) and bottles of cooled boiled water with bottles from Amazon and just imitate perfect prep. I had the nuby but it was just something extra to carry and clean really and I prefer this way now.

Is your baby on a predictable feed schedule? If they are then just make with the kettle about 45 minutes before they’re due a feed. When you’re out of the house use ready made. Yes it’s expensive but the convenience is worth it, plus you can cut down on the amount needed for the whole weekend by using a kettle at home. Or do the flask thing as suggested by PP.
