Baby led weaning / combi approach

Hi all

Statyed Baby led weaning today following Charlotte SR approach. I offered broccoli finger food and puree.

She put everything in her mouth but didn't want to pick the broccoli up or the spoon.

I tried feeding her with spoon and she tried a bit but started crying each time even if we didn't draw attention to her eating and were eating besides her.

Any advice? Anyone experience similar?

It's a brand new experience in so many ways. Just carry on the way you are. Baby needs to learn how to eat - different textures, tastes, temperatures, smells, cutlery etc. It's hardly surprising that they might get a bit overwhelmed the first time.
Just keep calm, make it fun and don't force things too quickly.

It's day one - and a brand new experience. Just keep going and offer as much taste colour and texture as you can and let baby get on with it.
