So myself and my daughters dad had quite a toxic relationship. He doesn't live with me. He would constantly call me names, like lazy cunt, bitch, cunt, ugly, weird looking and swear at me all the time. He would call me names infront of our child. He's thrown things and smashed things in my home (not in front of my child). Recently he smashed the window to my car by punching it. The police are involved but haven't been round to take my statement yet although they said they would. He has admitted to punching the window which I have in messages. Since then I have gone no contact. So I've told him to only communicate with myself via my mum, on his weekends he picks her up from nursery and drops her back to my mums so I don't see him. This is not only to protect myself but also my daughter from being around it.
However going no contact has now resulted to him being insulting to my mum, and insulting me via my mum, which is not what she needs.
I was looking for advice on what to do next, so I was planning on asking him to choose someone himself to communicate through- I wanted to know what my options were if he refuses to do so? He is blocked on everything bar email on my phone. Womans aid live chat suggested using a parenting app... are there any free ones? I'm a single mum working full time so out finances are already stretched.
