Have I been blocked?

Trying to organise Dd's birthday party and noticing the message on WhatsApp to one parent hasn't been delivered it's just sitting with one grey tick. I checked a group we're both in and my messages don't seem to be read or delivered to her, everyone else has seen the message but he's hasn't even been delivered. I feel too awkward to ask her directly if she's blocked me? Feel paranoid now

I can see her profile picture but not when she was last online if this means anything

If you can see her profile picture you're not blocked. Maybe it's out of charge or off?

One grey tick could be because her wifi may not be on yet. Also, some people have a setting where blue ticks will never appear when sending them a message.

My WhatsApp is set to no one sees last on line or read receipts. It's more likely her phone is off or out of signal. If there's a profile pic you're not blocked

Thanks for the reassurance, I tested blocking my DHs number and he could still see my picture though?

I wouldn't worry. I have some friends who get stressed by WhatsApp and deactivate it for a while.

Will your daughter be able to give the child a paper invitation (or you if the child is too young?)

Maybe she doesn't use WhatsApp any more, not everyone has do they? Is there a back story, why would someone choosing not to have their last online status visible mean they'd blocked you.?

It's not the online status as much as the messages not being delivered to her either one on one or in the group for the last few days, would usually mean the phones off or you're blocked so paranoid what to do at school pick up if I see her, I feel I must have done or said something to offend her

Give her the party invitation if you see her. That's all you need to do.

Unless you're going to give a massive drip feed that you shagged need husband or punched her in the face on the school run the chances are she hasn't blocked you. If she is that's her problem how she deals with it. Just act normal.

Definitely not done anything like that! The only thing I can think of is that I may have accidentally snubbed her at pick up, it's always chaotic with all the kids getting out that maybe I didn't see her. Oh well I'll see if she gets the whatsspp

I've done some research and apparently if you're blocked and you click on the person's profile it turns grey. Just checked and hers remains so she's probably lost her phone or has it off

If a grown woman blocks someone because they didnt say hello at pick up you've dodged a bullet, who needs that kind of nonsense

WhatsApp changed this, you can still see profile pictures even when blocked now. I tested this with a friend the other week. It stays on one grey tick.

I don't have read receiots so I never Harry two blue ticks, she'll just have that setting. I like to read and respond in my own time
