How to look after toddler’s curly hair?

My soon to be toddler (14 months) has gorgeous curly hair and I’m just wondering the best way to look after it? At the moment I comb it wet after a bath at night (shampoo once a week) but it looks wild by the morning after rolling around in her cot all night. I have just been wetting it a bit in the morning and combing it again but was wondering if there is a better way? It’s starting to get in her eyes a bit and I was also wondering if it’s best to get it cut or try to tie it up which seems tricky with the curls. I have been using standard baby shampoo but was wondering if one for curls is better? I don’t want to get into using other products though as she’s still way too small for that.

I have annoying frizzy hair myself that is somewhere between curly and straight and have never figured out how to tame it without a lot of faf so it ends up in a ponytail most days but want to do a better job with my little girl.

My now 3 year old has gorgeous curls! It was all new to me, although now my teen has grown out his hair his is exactly the same so its definitely from me!

We use stuff from a company called soaps for little suds, she makes all her own products! There's a helpful fb page too who will help you decide what's best product wise. I use the think shine shampoo bar, and have a few different conditioners but my fave is the avocado one. I dilute a bit of the conditioner in a spray bottle and use that to damp his hair down before brushing it through in a morning to tidy it up. Have also used the serum and gel on occasion to!
