My 3.5 year old little boy had a weird looking stain on the inside of his underpants yesterday and then later on in the day I noticed flecks of white around his groin and in his wee. And more white stuff(?) whilst washing in the bath. It doesn’t smell. And yesterday he said he had no pain but was trying to itch it a bit.
On googling this all pointed to Balanitis? I was fairly confident. We had a docs app this morning and they were nice but quite dismissive, didn’t check him and said all is fine and everything we described was normal. Following the docs app he’s been in tears each time he goes for a wee. Absolutely fine inbetween and no temp, but very upset when he needs to wee. He is usually very resilient so I know he must be hurting a lot. We contacted the GP again and they examined him and again were still not concerned! We have a sample pot now which we can send tomorrow but by the time we get the results it’ll be early week, and could a wee sample even show Balanitis?
Right now he doesn’t seem ill and doesn’t have a temp. But I’m not sure how to navigate this when the docs keep saying normal. He’s never had any issues like this before so it’s very much not normal for us, has anyone resolved anything like this at home without creams/medication prescribed by doctor?
