Hi everyone, could someone please advise? I have 2 children with my ex partner. One 5 months old and one 3 years old. Both live with me. My ex partner wants our 3 years old starts nursery full time in October (he wants hike to socialise) and wants to apply for tax free childcare so it’s a bit cheaper for him. But my question is if it can affect my universal credit? He earns good money but was advised by someone that he can get tax free childcare. I don’t know how it works but I don’t want to lose my universal credit because of that. When the younger one is a bit older I’m going back to work so it’s a different story but now when I’m at home and on UC I don’t want to lose it. Can you please advise if that’s ok for him to apply for tax free childcare? Thanks a lot.
