When did you return to work?

Hi all,

I’m just wondering what age were your babies when you returned to work? And how did they find it?

I think I’ll have to go back when my baby is 10 months and I feel so guilty!! I’ll go back 4 days a week with a Wednesday off. She’s such a gentle and sensitive baby, I feel really worried about leaving her and the impact it’ll have. But I also really want to go back to work because I’ve been offered a great job opportunity. My eldest was 1 year when I returned and I only went back 2 days a week so it just feels so different this time.

I went back four days when mine was 10mo and had planned going back before but just couldn't! I don't think I'd have been happy any earlier as he cooks only just sit and was pretty bad with food and still had loads milk etc. I did hate leaving him but was ready to go to work again, and actually looking back I now think it was the right time for us all. Nursery just fab and caring and he came on developmentally so fast once he joined. Don't think as a new parent I'd got any idea what fun stuff to do with him once got to that age so think he benefitted from interaction with other kids and fun activities etc!
