Milkshake is much better in the early mornings with surprisingly few adverts

Look at ITV2, it seems to be running kids programmes in the mornings.

Rayna37 · 07/09/2023 10:03

CBBC might be more his thing than CBeebies now?

Orangeinmybluelightcup · 07/09/2023 10:21

Yeah, but it doesn't start until 7am :/

Does that mean ITV doesn't have any children's programmes now?

So does that leave us with just CBBC and CBeebies unless we pay ?

Orangeinmybluelightcup · 07/09/2023 11:38

I think (not sure) itv might show some kids programmes in the morning at the weekend. But citv the standalone channel has gone. Pop also seems to have gone. I also heard a rumour that cbeebies is going?! Don't know if that's true. That leaves milkshake on ch5 until 9:15 and cbbc / cbeebies. As free channels.

At 6 surely you can get him to stay in bed reading or something until 7? My news to not be allowed to leave their beds until 7a.m.
They used to choose toys to play with the night before.

Rounee · 07/09/2023 11:41

Yes.

And POP also disappeared from my TV.

And apparently one of the Cbeebies or Cbbc will also go.

I don't want my kids on the Internet so we avoid streaming/ fire stick.

Very little for them now.

There is Iplayer.
And ITV x. But a faff.

And whenever we use the first strike they would rather watch YouTube instead. So banned the firestick for now.

Rounee · 07/09/2023 11:43

Fire stick

He's a pain in the butt early riser, it used to be 5:30, very thankful that's passed! We have to be up before 7am in the week, to walk the dog and get ready for work, dh has to get the bus etc, so rely on a bit of telly for early ds. Dd is still asleep!

We've always said they can't choose their own shows at the crack of dawn, as if they're both up they squabble about it. Citv suited them both.
