Baby bathing

Do I need to use soap for a 3.5 month old in the bath? Usually add breastmilk to the bath - does that work instead? Use water wipes for nappy changes.

I still don’t use soap and my baby is now 14 months. We just use shampoo once a week and just water the rest of the time. Babies are not really dirty apart from poo, spit up and later on food and those things come off easily.

Not sure about the breastmilk but perfectly fine just to bathe in water. My baby got eczema and cradle cap as soon as we started using bubble bath, not sure if it's a coincidence or linked.

Thanks! Assume the shampoo is optional too then? Sounds like there's no point adding anything really then
