How long from this to crawling?!?

My 7 month old has been rolling over for a while, he now brings his legs up into crawling position and tries to drag himself forward 😂 he hasn't figured out pushing his top half up yet. He seems desperate to move!

We're off abroad in 3 weeks and I expected him to be immobile still and I'm suddenly worried he's going to be crawling by then when I just want to chill by the pool 😂

Does he still sound quite far off? 🙈

How long is a piece of string! It's almost impossible to say. My son did that for about 4 months before he actually crawled!

My son learnt to crawl the week we went on holiday and honestly it was fine.
I wouldn't let him crawl on the floor around the pool area anyway, we took him to the inside play area to move around, in the room etc so he still had plenty of practise.

He wasn't desperate to move around all the time, we kept him occupied with the pool, toys etc.

My son was doing that then 2 days later was the opposite side of the room- going backwards. Then the next day he’d cracked it!

My friends son was doing that for about a month though so it’s how long is a piece of string!

Be very very thankful op. My dgc walked at 7 months. Omg it was hideously soon! Wasn't prepared! My ds walked at 9 months and that was bad enough.. Maybe there is a connection? Wonder if any data of early walkers creating early walkers?
