Breastfeeding 12 month old during the night

At 11 month we got to a point where my LO only had dropped all night feeds or would only wake up once. However the past week it’s been every 2-3 hours like a newborn again. Anyone been through anything similar? Why is this happening 😂I’m tired. I wanted to stop BF soon and introduce an alternative milk but don’t know what to do if he’s still waking during the night 3/4 times. I’ve tried offering water and his dummy he just spits it out and wants boob.

I planned to stop breastfeeding at 12 months too. But after 11 months of seeming like he could take it or leave it, he suddenly got obsess at 12 months!

16 months now and still bf 🤷‍♀️

BFing a toddler Dan be intense and sometimes they do up the amount of times they feed for a while, particularly if they are learning a new skill. If they're beginning to walk this might especially happen as they're realising that they can be away from you and feed more for reassurance that you're there.

If you want to stop the night feeds, and that's fine, have a read of Dr Jay Gordon's gentle night weaning method.

Good luck Wink
