A bit of wee before the big wee.. the curse of wet pants!

My dd is fully toilet trained,she has the odd accident when she gets too ingrossed in stuff and forgets to ask to go in time.

The problem is she always does a bit of wee before she asks to go and it's enough to have to change her then she gets upset because she thinks she has wet herself even though she has been to the toilet and been a good girl for asking.Is it that she can't feel herself going? Will she begin to feel sooner?
It seems similar to what happens to older ladies!

For DS (potty training at the mo) does that, so I fold old flannels in three and stuff them in his knickers. He thinks it's funny but it gives me a chance to get him to his putty in time and I only have to change the flannel.
