Giant 5 year old

My youngest is 5, 6 in December. She is about 120cm tall (we had to stand next to the height charts in every shop whilst uniform shopping last week!) I don't know how much she weighs but she's a healthy size, no where near overweight. She is going into year 1 and I've had to get 7-8 uniform and size 1 shoes, which have a bit of wiggle room. Now I'm a 4.5 shoe and 5ft, her dad is a size 7 and almost 6ft.

Is it normal for her feet to be so big?! She looks slightly out of proportion. Her sister is 9 and just gone into a 2.5

Do you have your red book. Can u plot her weight/height. My ds is fairly average size for age and he wears a size 1 shoe

Sorry! He's 8 going into year 4. Think he's around 130 cm

This is within the normal boundaries for her age.

My 5yo is 123cm and a size 1 shoe.

DC is 50th centile, had height and weight checked at school a few months ago.

Same kind of centiles as my ds. He's 7, 140cm tall, size 3 feet, age 10 clothes (although built like a stringbean). Both dh and I see over 6ft though so it's not really a surprise. Some children are just tall.

I always remember in school going up a shoe size every year - I was a size one in Year One, a two in Year Two and so-on until a size eight in Year Eight, when it stopped. So normal enough based on my experience xx

My 9yo was the same shoe size as yours when she was 5. She's now wearing size 5 shoes and wearing age 11-12 clothes for the height and length. I'm 5ft 8 and was wearing size 5 shoes in yr 5 so she's on track with being the same height or taller than me.
