What should a 11 month old babys nappy look like - i.e. poo? Sorry to be graphic but unsure whether his nappies are normal or if he has constant diarrhoea. He has a dirty nappy once everyday or definitely every 2 days but they have NEVER been 'formed', always very soft thin consistency and all over his nappy, like soft mushy weetabix consistency (sorry to be graphic.
Typical days food is:
BF - Porridge or readybrek with half banana or scrambled eggs or slice of french toast
Lunch - something homemade like pasta bolognaise or chicken casserole with rice or slamon tagliatelli followed by organix fruit or rice pot
Dinner - something homemade like soup and philadelphia sandwiches or tomato n courgette pasta
Also drinks water throughout the day.

My dd2 didn't do a solid poo until I removed dairy from her diet. It might be worth experimenting.

My DD is 11mo and her poos sound very similar if that helps? Very rarely get anything even vaguely formed, but she's well and healthy,no signs of tummy ache or anything.

I've found myself thinking this too ... all the poo I find tends to get squished all over the nappy so its impossible to tell if they were ever 'formed' in the first place !

Son 17 mths has never had a poo that I could acutally "pick up"...always runny. Did have a period of lactose intolerance at 8 to 11 months but seems to have gotten over that, so the point about dairy is quite interesting. When we took him off dairy it made no difference to stool formation.

He does get indigestion/trapped wind at night sometimes but again, thishas no effect on poo consistency.

My dts are 11 mths, dt1/dd her poos are more solid and browny and dt2/ds2 his are more like a jar of korma curry sauce.

They both stink and have about 3 dirty nappies a day each
