Bedtime is always so difficult!
I do leep to the same routine every night but nothing gets better or changes!

I have a 4 yr old Daughter & a 2 yr old Son.
my Son tends to fall asleep quite easily and quickly but my Daughter has a knack at fighting me to bed, she has books and a snack whilst i put her brother to sleep then its teeth and bed for her.

Down to my issue, I get so bored of having to stay in the room with her til she falls asleep.
They share a bedroom, so everytime i try leave her, she screams and wakes her brother and im back to square one!
How do i get her to go to sleep independently without me there, get such back ache sitting on the floor.
She isnt like this at her Dad’s, she does as she is told without a fuss.

Please help, any advice is greatly appreciated!

Do you leave while she is awake, or does she wake up and scream?

Have you tried gentle retreat? So day one normal position. Day two, sit a foot away, going closer and closer to the door?

Also I hear you re: boredom. Can you stick a headphone in and listen to a podcast or something?

The retreat method could work as mentioned above. But at 4 years old you may find that reward charts could help too? Maybe start a reward program for quietly letting you know she needs you first rather than screaming. Then up the anty to her being able to stay in there on her own for 2, 4, 6, 8 minutes? Then add in gradual retreat in slowly?
