Ditching the sleeping bags

When can they go. I hate them. Honestly the price is ridiculous!

DS is nearly 15 months. Really don't think he gets the concept of a blanket so guess 18 mnths is out because its going to be winter so probably the wrong time?
I have tried a light blanket. Was ok but it was summer. Ended up out of it in about 5 seconds and it was thrown out the cot.

What sort of age am I looking at? I have no clue....!

Sorry I'm no help - but in the same situation so following with interest! DS has just outgrown the 6-18 month bags and I've only got 1 in 18-36 months. Do I buy more, or attempt a duvet??

I ditched them at 18m as that's when baby grew out of them . I bought cot sized duvet

I didnt want to buy bigger ones. Like you say, they're ridiculously priced.

Definitely duvet

Just checked again. I think we swapped to duvet at about 20 months

In sure from 18 months we stopped using them and got toddler duvets.
My second child has never had one and always sleeps in bed with me.

You do t have to use them! I actually think they are a risk when the child starts standing in them getting all caught etc

Around 18 months we went for. Just went straight in with the pillow and duvet but still in cot. I wasn’t sure he’d grasp it because any time he’d been in my bed he didn’t seem to but very quickly he has. I just made sure he had a vest and socks on under his pyjamas in case he ended up out of it the first few nights

There's loads for sale on second hand sites for £5 ish? Not ditching them until we have to - pretty sure they're the only thing stopping her climbing out the cot!
