Behavioral or other issues?

Hey, my husband and I are at a loss and struggle with our 1-year old’s behavior. Pretty much everything is a fight or struggle with the little one, from changing to nap time and eating meals. The baby either complains loudly or cries very quickly and our patience has worn off. I understand it may be the age where the little ones test boundaries, but we think there is an underlying issue.

Another observation is the constant humming. The baby isn’t silent for literally 10 seconds at a stretch.

Has anyone had a similar experience and has any recommendations?

Thanks much

Hi OP, what underlying issue are you worried about? Please don’t worry too much if you’ve googled symptoms and autism has come up. I say this as I’ve done exactly the same for every little thing my DS has done since he was a similar age and a lot of unusual quirks at your baby’s age are in fact just quirks and most grow out of them.

Can you explain more about the issues around feeding and getting changed?

I don't think one year old test boundaries..l may be wrong but it's usually more of a toddler thing. Is he nearly 2? When did the struggling start? Like was he placcid and easy going and has now changed recently. He may be getting back teeth which do really distress a child. Have you spoken to your GP or health visitor ?
