Growing up I lived on a big estate and all kids played out from morning to evening, my mum still lives on the same estate and kids still play out, I visited her recently with my children and it was so nice to see all the kids playing out. We live somewhere that’s the complete opposite, main road no kids play out, I never even see kids on this road. My kids only go out if I take them places where as at my mums she made herself a cup of tea and sent the kids out to play so she could get some peace. Mine are in all the time unless school or organised days out. Just seen how nice it would have been to live in an area like that! I can’t move so it’s not an option but speaking to a few people they said they would never let their kids play out and it’s “not safe” no matter where you live. Do your kids play out? Am I just thinking it would be nice but really it isn’t?
