Holiday with 5 month old

We are thinking about taking our baby on holiday abroad in October when he will be 5 months old. Any advice on baby friendly destinations? We are thinking southern Europe, somewhere with a beach and nice town with restaurants etc in walking distance as we don’t want to hire a car. We just want a relaxed holiday and a change of scene.

we are thinking of somewhere like Rhodes (Lindos) or stanta Eulalia in Ibiza. Any tips / suggestions on destinations welcome!

also, would you suggest all inclusive or a self catering/apartment hotel? Baby is bottle fed so will need to factor that in

Get an apartment type place, at least where the bedroom is separate from the living area. You will want somewhere you can sit once baby has gone to sleep, or somewhere one person can continue to sleep if baby wakes up at the crack of dawn (at that age mine was going through a 4.30am wake up phase).

We did all inclusive in Portugal when our son was 8 months (thankfully he slept on the plane both ways). Meant we could relax knowing everything was taken care of. We returned when he was two... That experience was slightly less relaxing as he was very mobile! 🤣

We did and Airbnb in Malaga at that age and it was great. Plenty to do, city centre beach, super relaxing.
