To feel guilty....

Booked a girls holiday for 5 days away next year. Little one will be 2.5 years old and will be staying with DH

Feeling extremely guilty leaving them at home!! What to do? Cancel or go and enjoy the break but feel like the worst parent & wife ever ?

Go!

Go go go go go!

I went away for a girls holiday (hen do) when my little boy had just turned 2. It was 3/4 days away and it was so lovely to have the break!

Little one will be absolutely fine, and they're not gonna forget about you or hate you or any of that rubbish.
It doesn't make you an awful mum or wife either!

I vote option 3: go, don’t feel guilty, have a great time.

You’ll be a far worse mother if you never give yourself a break.

As far as I'm concerned it's a no-brainer. Go and enjoy yourself! Why not? I don't see any problems with it

@febbabies2023 thank you so much. I was thinking all those things too. ❤️

I guess one of the reasons for feeling guilty is leaving DH alone when he is the one who could do with a break too! 😳😳

@noseyreader1 he'll live! I'm sure they'll be a time where he wants to go away or does something with his pals where you'll have LO! Plus if he's anything like my other half he'll rope in his mum or something for reinforcements 😂

I’m living in another country to our almost two year old, I’m visiting at the moment, she gave zero shits that she hadn’t seen me in a week. So wave away that guilt.
