Potty training help

I am currently potty training my almost 2 year old, this has come from her interest in the potty. She has been doing so well using the potty and being accident free when at home not wearing anything. As soon as trousers or underwear goes on she has accidents but will also use the potty. I don’t really know where to go from here or whether she isn’t ready.

Lots of accidents or just a couple a day? Might be worth being trouser free for a bit longer so she gets used to the feeling BEFORE the pee so she can give you some warning.

My eldest we did dress and no knickers when our and about the first few days.

We moved from bare bum to loose bottoms (like joggers) but no pants for a good few weeks until that felt secure. Pants give them a snug feeling, so keeping them without pants for a while can help move them on.

We done bare bum, loose pants then went onto big boy pants, we bought undies with characters on and when we would put them on DS we would remind him that whoever was on the pants didn't like getting wet. Worked a charm everytime he puts his undies on now he says don't wee wee whoever is on them haha. She will let you no when she's ready for the next stage it took us a few weeks x

Sounds great! My now 3 year old cracked it about 6 months ago but still has some accidents. It’s a looooooong process. I would continue, just take spares whenever you go out, regularly offer the potty or suggest a wee, loose fitting trousers with no undies sounds like a good idea too.
