Orabase - any tubes lying around?!

Hi all

Before I begin - in the politest way possible, please no suggestions for other nappy rash treatments as trust me, we've tried them all!

My DD suffers with bad nappy rash and the only thing we have found that helps is Orabase. It worked wonders for her but it has now been discontinued and I cannot find any tubes anywhere. Does anyone happen to have any lying around that I could obtain/purchase please? Desperate Mum here!

Sadly not :( I emailed the manufacturers who confirmed it has been discontinued. They even put me in touch with their suppliers in case any spare stock but couldn't find any anywhere. Absolutely gutted as it worked a dream on my DD's bottom x

Hi
I know you said no alternatives my dd 5 used orabase mixed with metenium and Vaseline for her nappy rash, she has no large bowel so suffers with incontinence.
we switched to cohesive paste made by Eakin. We have even found it better.

I’ve googled the ingredients of both Orabase and the Stomahesive I posted the link for a few mins ago. Here are the screen shots of the ingredients. It’s almost the same. It was an Amazon link I initially sent but it’s much cheaper on EBay.

Thanks @Jitterybugs

I'll definitely look at that alternative! Although the Stomahesive ingredients you sent in the photo are for a powder not a paste so I'm not sure that would work? A quick Google suggests the paste has a few more ingredients 😔 x

Ah fab I'll take a look! Do you mix that with vaseline too? We found metanium made her bottom worse 😞 x

There is a Stomahesive paste. It offers much better protection, in my opinion, than Orabase. However, it is slightly different, in consistency. Stomahesive paste is less malleable. Orabase paste is a little softer and easier to squeeze out of the tube. If you need more precision, you can fill a small syringe with a wide nozzle and use that. This, then, acts like the tip adapter, that comes with every tube of Orabase.
If you need a tube to try out, I can send you one.
