5ft8 12 year old girl. Where do I buy school trousers?

She has very long legs and is very slim. Last year I bought ladies jersey trousers from M&S. I fear they'll be a bit short this year and they're expensive. I'm wondering where you all go for your tall daughters?

Next do XL and XXL (34 inside leg) in some sizes and styles.
Also Long Tall Sally?

M&S do extra tall. Slim and skinny leg.
Have a look on ebay or vinted or marketplace for 2nd hand if new are too expensive for you right now.
Dd is 5foot 11 and wore them.

I had to buy so-called "boys" trousers for my DD when she was the same age and height Hmm.

ASOS tall range has been a godsend for my DDs. Asda also has longer length formal ladies trousers. Unfortunately once you've moved to adult sizes you lose the tax relief for children's clothes and it gets expensive. They do tend to stay in them a bit longer though or at least look after them better!

Mines now 6 foot and 16, but at that age Next age 15 or 16 still fitted and see to be super long. Only available online. Were equivalent to size 6 or 8.

Same thing here! I've bought some M and S ladies' trousers in a long length. They are perfect.

Ahh I solved this problem for us last year, it was an absolute nightmare as DD school trousers have to be a specific shade of gray and I eventually found the holy grail.

13 year old, 5 ft 10 DD wears Next Womens tailored trouser, Charcoal and in long length for £20, they have an extra long option should she need it and are a Next staple so should be around for the time she is at Secondary.

Compare the adult size guide to their children's one, off the top of my head age 15/16 = adult 12, age 13/14 = size 10, 10/12 = size 8 (I think).

We have the same problem with DD3, super skinny, at the moment Next aged 16 black jersey trousers extra long with adjustable waistband are still fitting her.
