New buggy or buggy board

I currently have the tandem joie pushchair and a 1 and 2 year old. The issue i have is they both wriggle out of the straps and stand up which is becoming very dangerous as we've had some near misses of both almost falling out (not at the same time)! I have tried tightening the straps and moving them around but nothing seems to work. It's becoming really hard to take them out on my own as i'm having to stop 10+ times to put them back in and in the end i give up as we would never get anywhere!

Now i don't know if i should get a new push chair like a side by side pushchair as it maybe harder to get out of that (?) or to buy a buggy board for the 2 year old and put the 1 year old in a single push chair (i already have a single pushchair). My 2 year old always asks to walk currently but i find it hard on my own holding his hand and pushing the double pushchair as the double pushchair is quite big and i find i need 2 hands to push it properly. Another issue is he gets tired after walking for a while as he has just turnt 2 so still quite young so just a single pushchair on its own wouldn't do as i couldn't carry one as both too heavy.

What should i do, new pushchair or buggyboard? Also any recommendations for good buggy boards as reviews seem quite mixed online
