New RSV vaccine - Beyfortus

Hi all
I've been reading about the new vaccine for RSV in infants, which has now been approved in the UK, US and EU (Beyfortus is the brand name of the drug). Apparently the JCVI are recommending a universal immunisation program for newborns before their first autumn cold and flu season, but it's not clear whether that will be in place this year (I assume not). I have a six month old so was just wondering whether any medical types had any intel on when this is likely to be available and / or whether it's possible for a private paediatrician to prescribe it now?
Thanks!

Omg a decent vaccine would be a game changer for every children's ward in the world. Forget covid, RSV cripples us every year. One year my children's hospital was so full of navies we actually ran out of cots!

DS was involved in the efficacy trial for the RSV vaccine. Obviously I don’t know whether he’d have caught it without the vaccine so can’t comment on that. I can say that he had no side effects from it and was perfectly happy after, unlike the routine jabs where he also gets a fever and has a grumpy few days. Presumably because it’s not a true vaccine in the sense of activating the immune system.

Hi - we asked our private paediatrician and they said it wasn't yet available unfortunately.
