Newborn bumped head

I feel awful. I was getting my 7 week old out of his car seat today and as I was bringing him out of the car I accidentally knocked the front of his head on the car door frame 😢
He cried for about 30 seconds and then stopped and all was fine. The frame is padded so it wasn’t hard metal.
There is no swelling or bruising etc and he seems fine in himself - sleeping/eating no vomiting etc. I’m really paranoid that I’ve done some damage, Would you take him to get checked over or just continue to keep an eye on him?

He sounds completely fine and realistically the Dr will just have a look at his eyes, Blood pressure etc I would keep an eye and if you're concerned ring out of hours

It’s so horrid the first time something like this happens. Be kind to yourself - honestly I think most mums and dads have accidentally bumped their child’s head at some point. Keep a close eye on him but he probably cried more from the shock/noise than the pain.

if you notice any change in his behaviour/feeding etc then call 111 or get home checked at A&E for piece of mind.
