Looking for honest reviews of the Rockit pram rocker thing?

I nap my 16 month old in her Silver Cross buggy. I strap her in and recline it flat and rock her to sleep in the utility room with the washing machine on as some white noise. If I tried in the cot she'd just keep standing up or rolling around trying to play - she gives up pretty quick trying to escape her buggy!

Anyway, she's always been a rubbish napper and I have always detested nap time. Sometimes it takes a good twenty minutes of rocking the pram. I'm looking into the rockit thing, but the good reviews seem to be from parents with younger and thus lighter babies. Has anyone here used it on their toddler? I think she's around 11 - 12kg and we use the Silver Cross Pop. Will it be strong enough to at least jiggle her buggy while she's in it?

It was hopeless for us and gave up on it by about 3 months. Don't you think you being there is part of what settles her to sleep? I'd be so surprised if this works!

Possibly! Although once she's had her bottle I sit at the handlebar end of the pram so she can't see me. She seems to find the image of me rocking her to sleep both hilarious and infuriating so I've been hiding from her and sneaking out when she drifts off 😆

We have it, I use it more for after she's fallen asleep during a walk to keep her asleep in the pram when we get home rather than to rock to sleep. Could you buy one second hand or borrow from a friend to try out before you buy? Ours is lent to us by a friend and don't know if I would have bought it otherwise

We found it helpful to keep my baby daughter asleep, never ever helped to send her off to sleep. Helpful ie stopping to pay for something in the shop, it kept her asleep whereas she'd otherwise wake up if the pram was still. Never used it with a toddler but I'm absolutely sure it would create enough movement unless the pram is an absolute tank.

Should add, the rocker would be strong enough to rock the toddler in a pram as it would a baby. It's never gonna replicate a full parent style rock (or maybe that says more about how aggressive I would need to rock my kid 😂)

Never worked for us

I loved it
Definitely kept my son asleep for longer than when we didn't use it (especially if he had fallen asleep when he was in the buggy on a walk.

I actually have mine to sell! I think it would be strong enough yeh. You turn the dial to make it more or less rocky.

It just vibrates the pram a bit, even when my DS was tiny. And it didn’t work for us.
