Dd usually up anytime between 6.30 and 7am, how long should she nap during the day, takes forever to get her to sleep at night, usually start bedtime about 7pm and it can take and hour or more before goes to sleep

Mine used to do 60-90 mins

SarahLHs · 22/08/2023 12:58

At that age I think my DD was doing about 1.5-2 hours after lunch

1 nap after lunch for 1-2 hours depending on their needs. DD was always 2 hours, DS usually 90 minutes. Slept 7-7ish overnight.

StampOnTheGround · 22/08/2023 13:31

Mine is doing anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours! Although I've now just realised the last 2/3 weeks the maximum has been around 1 hour 20.

AudreyJL · 22/08/2023 13:51

At that age my DD was still on 2 naps a day, usually a total of 3 hours between both naps

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 22/08/2023 13:52

Mine would go down 12/12.30 ish, and I always woke them at 2.45 if they weren't awake then (to go do school run for older dc). Sleep (well, down awake jn bed) between 7 and 7.30.

My DD can easily nap for 2+ hours just after lunch, although if we let her sleep for more than 2 hours, she takes forever to fall asleep and is up early in the morning.

If I wake her up after an hour and a half, she gets a good 12 hours overnight and I get a bit of a lie in (I'm pregnant and need my sleep!)

I have an almost 3 year old and an almost 1 year old and they both nap for 2 hours after lunch. Point being every child really is different. My older child frequently sleeps more in 24hrs than my 1 year old.

Pitstop1986 · 22/08/2023 14:20

@Bumble84 my daughter definitely sleeps more now than she did at 12 months! A flip kind of switched at about 14 months and she started having a really long nap. Before that she barely slept during the day!

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 22/08/2023 14:32

If I let DS sleep for more than 1hr at that age we wouldn’t have had sleep at bedtime until after 9pm. He would do 12-1pm and then bed at 8pm.

SarahLHs · 22/08/2023 19:52

Usually asleep by 7:30.
