Double prams ?!

Hi!

Looking for double pram recommendations please :) we are expecting our 2nd baby in February and our daughter will be turning 2.

I'd like something that converts into a single pram when our daughter doesn't need it anymore and ideally a travel system so it comes with a car seat for new baby...

Love the look of the Icandy peach 7 double pram but it's so expensive!

Thank you

Where I am the Bugaboo donkey is the favourite. I see so many every day 😂 I think it's the one that is side by side as a double but can be adjusted (width) to become a single.

Ah, the Uppababy vista is also very popular and is super versatile

I love the Uppababy Vista, but probably not ideal if you need to use public transport, it's very heavy and quite wide on a bus.

We had the Mountain Buggy, fabulous well built pram, the thing that sold it to us, was that we had two children (21mths and a newborn) when the toddler got out the pram was stable, never moved. It was easy to push, we through doorways, MIL regularly took it on the bus. It wasn’t cheap but was excellent value for money.

Love both of these! But they aren't much cheaper than the icandy peach 7 🥲

Have you thought about secondhand?

Would highly recommend the donkey. We have it and it's lovely.

Look into the maxi cosi Lila. I had this and oh my god I loved it, absolutely brilliant piece of kit!

Uppa baby vista. I got one second hand when I had my second. Best pram ever! Wish I’d had it with the first.

I got a 2nd hand bugaboo donkey, bit of a beast but I liked the side by side option and the fact you could have them facing your or out, also I walked alot as didn't drive at the time so it was ideal for me, might be a bit of a pain if you're constantly getting in and out of the car.

We got our donkey off gumtree. Still £400/500, but wmso much cheaper than new. It has pros and cons, but overall pretty happy.

I have a Phil and Ted's, very narrow and same footprint as a single buggy, so it's ideal for public transport, getting in lifts or small shops. Just remove the second seat to make it a single.

scrantonelectriccity · 22/08/2023 17:56

I love my donkey 5, look at getting a 3 or a 5 second hand it'll be much cheaper

There's a bugaboo buy and sell Facebook group

Himawarigirl · 22/08/2023 18:37

I had a mountain buggy duet and loved it. It’s side by side but much narrower than it looks, fine on buses and getting through internal doors etc. I bought it second hand.
