Tips to help a toddler adjust in the new nursery

Hello mums,

I am desperate for any tips that will help my 3 year old son adjust to his new nursery. The past two years he has been in a private nursery, made lots of friends and he overall loves it. He was very excited to move to preschool room with the rest of his friends. However, we decided to get to a nursery attached to a primary as it will be significantly cheaper. In the new nursery, he will go a bit backwards as he will be placed with the 2-3 year old kids as he is a September baby rather than to preschool. Any tips to help me adjust and keep the spirits up? We were thinking small presents after school for the first few days, maybe taking for an ice-cream after school etc. Any ideas from your experience please?

Honestly, I'd keep it as light as possible just t nornalise it for him. Light and positive. But maybe have something planned for the weekend that you can talk about so if the transition is tough he has something to look forward to.
