Hi all, LO is almost 12 weeks. Since he was born I have had insomnia at night. Despite being absolutely exhausted it takes at least 1 hour for me to fall asleep at bedtime and usually 2 hours after each night feed. I’ve tried breathing exercises whilst laying in bed and even getting up and reading a book in the next room but nothing works. Any advice? LO is EBF

Sounds like it could be a bit of PND, which should really be renamed to include the word Anxiety.

I'd have a chat with the Pandas foundation to see if they can offer any information and support Flowers

I had this , got really bad at 4 months post partum along with sleep paralysis. It was postnatal anxiety. I took amitriptyline from 4 months to 1 year, I also breast fed. I would go see the gp before it gets a hold of you. I found co sleeping eased my anxiety along with sleeping at the same time as them , not trying to get them off then going down to watch TV etc. It will pass.
