Does having a bath wake anyone elses children up?? 6 week old ds2 has a bath about half 6 ready for a bed time about half 7, but even though he seems sleepy he wakes up afterwards and its normally gone 9 before hes asleep. Obviously I'm not too concerned but am have I got the wrong idea?Is it best to bath around half 4, then dh home at half 5 so they can spend some time together before feed at 7ish? I know its young to get him into a routine, its just that he does sleep around this time anyway and then wakes at 10.30 for another feed but thought it would be a nice way to start preparing him for bed times. Thanks

Yes I found the same- too much stimulation for my ds when he was tiny. If I "caught" him when it was nearing a time when he might sleep but before he was tired then it might have been ok, but when they are weeny it's so difficult to predict a regular bedtime! I'd go with the earlier bath time you're thinking about, or not do it at all- they don't really get grubby at that age iirc. (Think I used to bathe ds every 4 or 5 days at that age)
