Hi all,
Our daughter will be 1 year old on Aug 27. She is not walking yet. Over the past month she has gone from army crawl to regular crawling, to pulling up on furniture to now crawling up stairs. She occasionally moves along furniture side to side as well.
For some reason we are worried that she is not walking. I think we are just overthinking but would like to hear some others point of views…When did your kids start walking?

If she can do all of these things is walking just around the corner? Like I assume she is using her leg muscles to crawl and climb stairs right? For some reason I am worried she won’t be able to walk….sounds silly but I am consumed with it now.

Just looking for some opinions. Thanks

I didn't walk until 18 months. DS was 16 months. I believe HCPs won't be worried until age 2.

Relax. My second was 14 months. I remember seeing a paediatrician Abi it issues with his toes and he told me to ignore what health visitors say about milestones, both he and his wife are doctors and their child walked at 16 months

Is she tall or chubby? If so it can take a bit longer. DS was almost there at 7 mths (he was an early army shuffler from 3 mths, and then started crawling from 4 mths) but then had a massive growth spurt, lost his balance, stopped trying, and then randomly started running at 14 mths!

My boys walked at
21 months
2 years 9 months
2 years
2 years 6 months
2 years 3 months

12 months is still very early.

Ds walked unaided at 16 months but was walking around the furniture before that. I don't remember him having a long crawling stage.
