Dropping dream feed advice

DD is nearly 7 months and doing well with solid food. For a few weeks we’ve been working on dropping the dream feed at 10.30pm. For three nights in a row she only took 2oz so I thought we’d be safe to drop it. Apparently not! I tried not feeding her last night but she woke between 2am and 3am. I tried to settle her without a bottle but she wouldn’t settle so I fed her and she took about 3oz before. The problem then was she was even less interested in her morning bottle than usual.

She has been sleeping through for months and I’d really rather not go back to night feeding.

Has anyone got any advice about dropping the last feed of 2oz at 10.30pm. It’s such a small amount I thought she wouldn’t miss it and just thought it was coincidence when she woke up n the night until she wouldn’t re-settle without a feed.

I’ve been wanting to drop my dream feed but they’re still not sleeping through and I wonder if I’m doing something wrong. Any advice?

Give the dream feed at 9:30pm? Rather than 10.30pm just 2oz & see what happens
