Will I still receive child maintenance if my children see their dad in a contact centre?

Just wondering if anyone has been through anything similar. Ex is on bail for ABH after he came home on cocaine and got arrested. Was bailed for three months but this has been extended by 6 weeks. Him and his parents are hassling for contact with children but I don’t trust him with my 7 month old (who is breasted anyway) and my 21 month old when he’s known to be using cocaine but they are making me out to be unreasonable. If it goes to contact centre visits down the line will I still receive child maintenance? Or would this be deducted from that. Feeling stuck at the minute! I want my kids to have a dad but I don’t feel I can trust him with them.

Contact and child maintenance aren't really linked. I would stop contact completely for the time being, if they're hassling you just block them. Sorry you're going through this

Just to add, if he loses his job or goes to jail child maintenance will reduce/ stop but not just because his contact has stopped

Realistically contact would be for 1-2 hours and supervised by a contact supervisor. I understand why you feel as you do. Id be the same. But they're not linked, it's whether dad is earning according to hrmc. Out of all the contacts I've supervised, I've known perhaps 2 of the parents to work. Not saying they don't but that's been my case. If parents do, then allowances are made to facilitate contact. For example if they work nights, the social worker will request contact is done in the morning or a suitable time. I think you are getting a bit far ahead that being said. They arnt linked so no it wouldn't come out of any maintenance that you get di it through the cmo and be honest why he has zero contact they will waive the fee for starting te case

Report whoever is hassling you over contact harassment is illegal

It's only overnight visits that reduce the maintenance but he sounds shit so I doubt you'll get much anyway

No It won't affect the child maintenance.

As a PP said, report anyone who harrasses you - it's a criminal offence.
