Hello. Sorry for the long post...
I have an almost 15 month old boy. He has been getting himself to sleep and sleeping through the night from about 7 months old. We only needed to do some very light sleep training to get him to that. Lucky I know.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago and he's become very difficult to put down at night. Just screams and cries. We've let him cry for 5 mins then gone in to settle and same again and again until we've given up and rocked him. He still generally sleeps through but every 4ish nights or so will wake up once in night and it's difficult to get him back down. Also throw in a 10 day holiday where routine was totally off. Now we're back home we're keen to get him back to his usual ways but struggling! Any tips? He's been teething constantly for the last few months so could be related but not convinced. I also feel it's much harder to sleep train him now he's that bit older and knows us better. I was hoping it wouldn't be too hard to get him back to normal as he's been doing so well for several months and it's only been a few weeks of this. Maybe it's just a regression and he'll get back to normal himself. He's dropped down to one nap and is coping with that fine during the day and not cranky at all but wonder if that's having an effect on him getting to sleep (although he's actually getting more sleep in his one nap (2 to 2.5 hours) than he was in his two naps (about 1 hr 45).
Just don't know what to do!!
