Baby swimming wear - splash about wetsuit or wrap?

Hello, I was just after some advice please about what to dress baby in for first swimming class.

He will be 2-3mths old for the block of classes and pool is heated to around 32 degrees and they have double nappy policy.

Splash about do a happy nappy built into a wetsuit style top with long arms or also do an individual happy nappy with a body wrap over the top which has no arms (looks much easier to remove wet!!). Would also wear disposable swim nappy.

I was leaning towards the wetsuit as don’t want him to be cold….but also don’t want him to be too hot!! Any advice so much appreciated. Thanks

We had the happy nappy wetsuit one at that age as our local pool is bloody freezing!

They do a 'Duo' happy nappy which solves the double nappy problem, no need for any extra disposable. In a baby specific or heated hydro pool I'd go with just the happy nappy duo.

For public pools I'd add the wrap as well!

I'm taking my 4m old swimming in public pools so we've gone for a 'Warm in One' wetsuit along with the 'duo' happy nappy.

That’s great so the pool we’re going to initially is geared for babies so should be nice and warm. I liked the idea of the wrap as it looks much easier to get on and off especially if I feel he doesn’t need it on when we get poolside.

thanks re the duo happy nappy- I’d completely missed that!

We did baby swimming in a SEN school hydrotherapy pool and the whole space was super warm so just a double nappy was fine.
I used to rush to get out of there to cool down afterwards.

We use just a double nappy for lessons in a hydrotherapy pool, and also warm in one wetsuit on top for our family swim in a public pool. I don't find the vest wrap or the wetsuit with arms (but no leg coverage) warm enough for public pools, lots of them have reduced temperatures due to energy costs.
