Wax melts and candles

Hello ladies :)

FTM to DS who is now 6 weeks. Pre baby, I loved a candle / wax melt and burned them all throughout pregnancy without even thinking about it. They help me to relax, but also, we have a fairly small house and the smell of food lingers and I get really anxious that our house smells of food when guests come round.
Since DS has been born, I haven't burned anything as I have been worried it might not be safe, but it's getting to the point now, where I really miss candles.
Does anyone know if I can burn them? Are they going to cause damage to DS? I obviously won't have them right next to them and won't fall asleep (ha what's sleep) with them burning.

Yes agree with PP, look for candles made with natural aromas. There is more and more evidence coming out that synthetic aromas can be bad for our health. I love candles, although I've switched to burning essential oils since I became pregnant and will keep them well diluted when baby is here
