Boob stopped working to get DS back to sleep during night

I’ve always fed back to sleep during the night but now my 13mo seems to be taking longer and longer to fall back to sleep. He has a quick feed and then suckles for 20-30 minutes before falling asleep!!

Anyone have the same experience and what did you do? Rocking and settling in cot doesn’t work either.

Most babies grow out of feeding to sleep at some point. At 13 months I'd say you've had a pretty good run!

When my DD would no longer feed to sleep I switched to shush-patting in my arms.

Try shuhing and patting. I'm lucky my 16month old will still feed to sleep if he wakes up during the night but doesn't very often. He does know how to self sooth. Just sometimes easier to give him a boob. Love comforting him x

Better not to feed back to sleep if you can get away with it, we use a rocking motion in a rocking chair which helps
