Republic of Ireland (Shannon) tap water - formula

Sorry for the super specific question.

I live in England and will shortly be travelling to Shannon. How do I find out if the tap water is suitable for use in infant formula?

OP it's not recommended to make formula with bottled water so as long as you boil the water like you're supposed to, you'll be fine. Remember, there are babies all over Ireland drinking formula (Ireland has the lowest BF rates in Europe) and Ireland also has one of the lowest infant mortality rates in Europe. It will be fine.

In some countries I'm told that there are differing levels of electrolytes in the water and sulphates etc... but I'm obviously not an expert or I wouldn't be asking 😅 But that's a resounding 'it's fine' so thank you!

If you can drink the tap water it's fine, especially for a short period. I would only be wary if it's well water and not treated

You need to input the address to get a report on water quality. I found it with a quick google. Ireland isn’t the third world. I’m sure that water quality is perfectly fine. 🙄
