Is this normal while teething?

5 month old DD is teething for the first time, and for the past three days or so she has not stopped pooing! She usually would do one dirty nappy a day, now she’s doing four or five. I’ve gathered from mumsnet that teething poos are a thing, but is it normal for her to be going this much?

She’s also waking up more through the night for feeding, when she was sleeping 8 hour stretches last week, and doing dirty nappies in the night too which she doesn’t usually.

This sounds similar to what we are going through with our 17 week old DD. She’s drooling non-stop and is getting what we think is a drool rash on her neck and under her chin. She’s soaking her bibs and bandanas. But the pooping has seriously kicked up a notch in the past few days, sometimes a full nappy, sometimes it’s just a small amount. And she’s going through the night which she never usually does. I had put it down to potentially teething but on reading Google it says there’s no link between the two so I’m not sure.

She is totally fine in herself, perhaps a little more gassy than usual but is gnawing on anything and everything and feeding as normal.

Yes we've had a lot of runny nappies as they are producing more saliva
