I'm so exhausted and don't know what I've done so wrong

My 4 year olds behaviour is so, so exhausting. He's so difficult about everything, he argues about everything, he freaks out and scratches me all the time, occasionally bites me too. He tells me he doesn't love me. I've just left a doctors appointment about his behaviour and how much I'm struggling and proceeded to stand in the car park for 45 minutes trying to go home with him just undoing his seat belt and climbing out every single time I tried to drive off. I just don't know how to parent him. I don't know what to do and I'm exhausted and so so fed up.

I'm so sorry you're struggling so much. Please know it's highly unlikely to be your parenting, more likely just his personality, or SEN.

I could have wrote this exact thing about our 3 1/2 year old. Meltdowns over nothing, lashing out and argumentative. It’s exhausting.

He's sat on my lap watching Zog now and keeps saying sorry and that he loves me and it's hard because I can't just switch it off after he fries my brain so bad.

I'm in the same position with my 3.5 year old. I literally just asked my partner the other day what are we doing so wrong. Everything is so hard at the moment. Every little thing has to be her way. She just screamed the house down for 30 minutes at bedtime because we didn't have the pyjamas she wanted to wear. We live in a terrace house and im worried what the neighbours must think because its massive screaming meltdowns every single night. She has been so cranky, irritable, totally rejecting me, snatching, not listening.

Just know you're not alone. I try to always remind myself she is so small and she just cant handle her emotions but if i knew what to do to help her it would be great.
