My 6 month old has been hysterical now unless held for 2 hours! He's never like this I've done and checked everything he's not hungry batting the bottle away his nappy is fine im absolutely terrified to move now as he's sleeping on me I honestly don't know what to do I just want to cry. He's been so grumpy all day im worried he's coming down with something and it looks like a sleepless night for me

Does he feel too hot?

Sometimes is a developmental leap happening which upsets a routine.

They get overtired and then can't fall asleep which just makes them cry harder.

If he's sleeping now just relax and let him sleep.

I’d try Calpol, but its also worth checking his toes and making sure there’s no hairs wrapped around them - hair tourniquet syndrome.

Can you just prop your self up in bed or on the sofa comfortably to sleep l. I'm sure if he has cried for two hours he will be sleeping soundly exhausted now.

That's lovely.

I know how frazzling it is, having a baby crying inches from your ears and being unable to put any distance between your ears and the crying is one of the biggest conundrums of it all!

Do not do this, it's really unsafe. If you are going to co sleep look up the safe sleep guidelines and follow them. At his age this kind of crying could be teething, or as you said he might be coming down with something. Hope you got some sleep and he's okay today.

Yeah I should of said I did do it safely
