My DD had a fever earlier this week, resulting in a couple of trips to the GP and one to out of hours. No obvious cause, but the OOO nurse prescribed an ear spray for one ear as it looked a little red. Her appetite was very poor for a few days.
Her temperature thankfully dropped a couple of days ago and now seems OK and is eating better, but she is still more irritable than usual. It hasn't helped that we haven't been able to get out much because of the weather, and she loves to be outside, but I wondered if this is usual after an illness? The last time she was poorly with a temperature like this was a year ago when she had COVID, but obviously she is a totally different kettle of fish as a toddler to a baby!
She has been having more tantrums generally lately, and is also constantly teething (cutting her canines at the moment), so thinking this might just be a combo of behavioural development with her still getting over what she has had? Any advice or experience would be appreciated!
