Post partum trapped wind/ abdominal pain

Hi all please help. I'm 12 weeks post partum after a normal vaginal delivery and what I thought was a good recovery post birth. For the last 4 weeks I have been struggling with abdominal pain and what I think is excessive trapped wind. My diet hasn't changed apart from maybe eating more. I'm plant based but have been for years. I am ebf which is going well.

Anyone else suffer with similar issues and did they resolve? I have ordered some pro biotics. Having to buscopan and paracetamol to combat the pain it is so debilitating especially when trying to care for a new born! Please tell what i can do to ease it and that it will resolve eventually!

Thank you!

Peppermint tea and peppermint capsules really helped me

Hi OP, I didn't suffer from this from my one vaginal birth, but I did from my c-section and gallbladder removal, but the pain was pretty instant. Is the pain going up your back into your shoulders?

I think because it's only started in the last four weeks it would be unlikely to be trapped wind, do you chew a lot of gum or drink fizzy water/drinks? I do, so not judging if you do.

I remember the nurse gave me buscopan and morphine. I said it's just trapped wind though, and she said,. "Pain is pain". But it was gone within the week after discharge. If mention it to your doc x
