Is this normal following rotavirus vaccine?

My 8 week old had his jabs a few days ago. He was given a double dose of rotavirus because he spat some of the first lot out. Since then he's been crying out in pain, squirming and tensing, latching and unlatching when trying to feed so feeding much less. He usually has 5 or so dirty nappies, he's barely passing poo now. He just seems to be leaking small bits of pure liquid poo. He has periods of contentment but they don't last long. He's not sleeping properly because of the pain.

We saw the GP yesterday, but at that time baby feeding better and still producing some dirty nappies. Was told it's normal and could take 10 days to get better. It wasn't our usual GP, and I didn't think he was really listening to me and taking me seriously. He began the consultation by asking me if this was my first, and saying that I'll know how to deal with it next time...

Because it's getting worse I've sent in another request to the GP. While I wait to hear back.. am I being overly concerned? What was your experience of the rotavirus vaccine? Does this sound normal to you?

No you’re not. There is rare medical issue where you shouldn’t have the rotavirus vaccine as it can cause bowel obstruction. I would ring 111 or go to A and E.

In fact, just go to A and E.
