Joie Stages car seat

Does anyone know how to remove the base and straps from the Joie Stages car seat? DC had an accident in it and it's lingering in the base, but I can't figure out how to take the base off or even take the straps off to wash them. Removing the 6 screws on the base doesn't achieve much.

Google is coming up with nothing! Thanks in advance!

You can't remove it from the base (and it might be a problem that you've removed the screws) and the straps aren't designed to be removed from this seat either, they just stow away when you change it to booster mode.

I would contact Joie for advice on how to clean but also to check if it's OK to use now you've removed those screws - if they are securing some essential safety part then it might be a problem.

The straps cant be removed. We have had this issue. I used carpet shampoo in them and then did lots of wiping with baby wipes to make sure there was no residue.
