Met a woman today with a younger baby than mine at a local baby group. She was talking about weaning and how her DS hadn’t really taken to it so far and prefers just stuffing food down the sides of his high chair/on the floor etc. We had a laugh about how much of a mess they make etc.
She then went on to say how she was just glad to no longer be making up bottles of formula. When I questioned what she meant, she said she’d switched her DS to cows milk instead of formula at 9.5 months as making up bottles all the time was a hassle especially when he still wants fed during the night. He’s now almost 10.5 months. I don’t generally comment on others parenting - we all have our own ways, but is this safe for the little boy? Obviously it’s natural for them to cut down on formula as they take in more solids but she specifically say that cows milk is probably about 90% of his daily intake
